VinylPlus® Med officially launches its pilot medical PVC recycling scheme in Belgium. Aimed at accelerating sustainability in healthcare across Europe through the recycling of discarded single-use PVC medical devices, VinylPlus® Med brings together hospitals, waste management companies, recyclers and the PVC industry.
The Vinyl Foundation is a funding mechanism run by EuPC to support VinylPlus®, the sustainable development programme of the European PVC industry.
It collects funds from PVC converters which are dedicated largely to finance VinylPlus'® recycling operations.The programme includes a significant commitment to systematic recycling.
To ensure that this initiative, which has been designed to benefit the whole industry, does not stumble because of financial constraints, it is vital to ensure that the costs are shared fairly across the whole PVC value chain.
